FIRSTABILITY
Firstability is dedicated to providing today’s youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in and out of school. Often many children focus on athletics and leave education and healthy living behind. Our program focuses our children’s attention on education and health while supporting their interest and passion for sports. We Coach, We Mentor and We change Lives.
The Firstability Sports Program is designed to mentor, coach, and inspire youth to strive for academic and personal success. The goal of this program is to empower youth through sports enrichment activities, after school programs, summer camps, post graduate (GAP Year) league football, cheerleading, and various other sports.
Firstability incorporates peer mentoring, coaching and team sports to helps youth build self-awareness, learn about potential careers, and develop a plan for achieving their goals. Students explore college and career options, learn job readiness skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and work on a individualized plan to transition to the workforce or matriculate to a post secondary institution.
ACADEMICS
Firstability serves post graduate and at risk students who are struggling academically an opportunity to earn additional high school credits, earn a GED or HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOM or College Courses for credit. Firstability also offers free SAT ACT PREP and COLLEGE classes to all participants.

TRAINING
Career Pathway Training
Learn career skills to be ready for career, college, or both.
Through our affiliated and partner schools our students have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications, and transition to the workforce or continue their career or college pathway. Students receive job readiness skills training, opportunities to train and job shadow with local businesses and employers, coaching in job applications, resume writing, and interviewing skills. Firstability follows up with students after completing the program with additional resources that can help them continue on their career pathway.
Firstability Residential Program
Research shows that students who live on campus perform better academically and their graduation rate is higher than students who live off campus, and help you in developing life-long friendships. Living on campus contributes not only to academic achievement, but to social, recreational, and spiritual development as well.
Residential programs operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week with students residing in dormitories on campus. Students participate in these programs for approximately 6-12 months. distancing them from their at home environment and allowing them to focus solely on their future.
