Why do I need to get an NCAA Account or NCAA ID Number?

In order for any student athlete to earn an NCAA scholarship or participate in collegiate level sport with the NCAA, they must have a COMPLETED NCAA account. Students are issued personalized NCAA ID numbers once they have created their accounts and this is the same number that colleges and athletic compliance offices will use to look for a student in the portal and to view students’ NCAA eligibility/Qualifications. Don’t have an account or NCAA ID number yet? Click here to visit NCAA Clearinghouse Website to get started today. This is usually done while student athletes are in high school (Grade 9-12). NOTE: If student is not matriculating to an NCAA school, this information won’t be required. Other types of collegiate sports include (NAIA and JUCO).
